What started as a lifelong connection to construction has grown into a commitment to helping families bring their vision of home to life.
Our Story
Construction isn’t something we picked up. It’s where we come from.
Dominic and Jennifer both come from multigenerational construction families. Dominic started working alongside his father — an electrician — at thirteen, and went on to build structural and technical expertise at a truss manufacturing company and other construction firms. Jennifer grew up in a construction family three generations deep: general contractors, electricians, carpenters, roofers, and custom cabinetmakers. Jennifer also brings years of Arizona land and residential property experience to every project.
For more than sixteen years, while serving full-time careers in law enforcement, we flipped and rehabilitated homes on the side — learning every trade’s work well enough to manage it, and every budget’s weak point well enough to protect it. Between us, we served nearly fifty years in law enforcement. That work shaped how we build: documented, disciplined, and honest, with clear communication even when the news is hard.
In 2021, Dominic earned his Arizona General Contractor’s license (ROC #334837 — General Residential), and BDJ Construction became our full-time work.
Why Prescott
This is where we intend to do our best work.
We moved to the Prescott area to be closer to family — and brought BDJ Construction with us. We’re now focused on building long-term relationships and a new customer base throughout Prescott, Prescott Valley, and the surrounding communities. Our Phoenix Valley projects taught us how to build well.
